1935 Pelikan 100 Maenner, with an full 14 K gold overlay. For those of you unfamiliar with this model, in the 1930s Pelikan authorised these Stuttgart jewelers to do their own overlay on the 100. The pens were exquisitely made, there is nothing more to say.
The pattern is a very fine barleycorn
except for a smooth cone and ribbed
turning knob. Today these pens are
                                          extraordinarily uncommon. This one
comes out of my collection and is nearly
perfect, no dents, or scratches only
a tiny area of dings on the backside
of the turning knob. In truth it is
nicer than the pen it replaces, but
I use my pens and was always nervous
                                          about damage.
Thise may be the best pen
I have ever been able to offer on the
site. It is not cheap, but you may
never be offered another. The nib is
                                          to customer specification. $4800 |
