1952 Tortoise Pelikan 400/450 Set

PE1860: 1952 Pelikan 400/450 fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in tortoise, with original Pelikan black leather etui (case). If I had to define the iconic postwar Pelikan, this would be it, a tortoise 400 set in the case. Everything about this set is complete and correct, right down to the original 14 K 585 incised script medium nib (that matches the marking on the turning knob). This set can go happily into a collection or even more happily into pocket, briefcase or purse. $325.00. SOLD

Similar to the above:

PE2143: 1954 Pelikan 400/450 fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in tortoise, with original Pelikan green leather etui (case). If I had to define the iconic postwar Pelikan, this would be it, a tortoise 400 set in the case. This set has seen some use, and the binde shows a bit of heat damage, but is in good overall condition. The nib is a logo style EF with decent flex. This set can go happily into a collection or even more happily into pocket, briefcase or purse. $305.00. SOLD

PE2283: 1952 Pelikan 400/450 set. This is one of those "I wanna keep them all" sort of sets. To start with, it comes in a red leather clamshell case in a style I've not seen before, with the use instructions. The pen and pencil are immaculate save for a bit of staining at the top of the pen barrel, inside, not at all noticeable when the pen is filled. The nib is a very smooth, flexible EF in the older script style, and the turning knob is so marked. An extraordinary set. $425.00 SOLD
