1950s Faber Castell 884 in green striped body with dark green section and turning knob, piston fill. This is one of those great "sleeper" pens, a chance to own one of the most exquisite of postwar German pens of the very highest quality at a fraction of the price had it been made by Montblanc, Pelikan or Soennecken. The entire pen is of dark green striped celluloid with good clarity throughout, though the barrel is slightly ambered. The cap is clean and clear. The nib offers decent flex and is a two tone 14 K Faber Castell medium. Unlike the pen depicted it does not have a box or papers.
