If there is one pen I wish I could keep from this purchase, this is it. The craftsmanship on this unmarked overlay is superb, every bit the equal of that done by Sarastro. What adds to the interest on this is the captop which features a five pointed star, suggesting that the pen was sold to the Arabic middle east. Also discreetly engraved as part of the captop is the date May 24, 1939 in European format 39-5-24. The nib is a Montblanc 1 14Ct. I’ve not tested the seals but they feel good. The pen is without flaw. $6,000.00 |
