1929 Pelikan. Yet another first year pen, one of four we have right now. Believe it or not they are not common, it's just that first year pens are a disease with which I am particularly afflicted. The pen is complete and correct with bakelite body, hearthole nib, plain captube and straight captop. I think that the jade binde is the prettiest of the three first year greens, but this pen is not perfect. The binde shows some stress cracking; however, the color, though uneven, is good. The captop imprint is a bit weak. I?d rate the pen 7/10s. A lovely pen. The fine nib is extremely flexible, a great writer. The price on these is skyrocketing, so this is a bargain at PE983 |
