1930s Matador 994. A lesser known, first quality German maker. Black chased celluloid cap and barrel. An uncommon pen with a gold nib with a very flexible medium large sized 14 K nib. The pen belonged to Hans Saar, his name is on the barrel indicia. Piston filler. The filler is a genuine 2002 Rick Propas manufacture—the original was shot. Carries The PENguin two year warrantee. The cap is a bit heat-wrinkled, but the pen is most uncommon and ya gotta love the ornate clip and cap band. Where ya gonna get a pre-war German piston filler with a gold nib for under $150? So, it's JN248 |
